Introducing The Arista Bag
At VERDI, each piece begins with a question—a curiosity about how materials, traditions, and contemporary ideas can come together to form something truly original. With the Arista bag, we sought to explore a new kind of structure: one inspired by the clean lines and rhythm of contemporary architecture.
Arista is our first-ever shoulder bag, and with it, we introduce a silhouette that challenges conventional notions of how woven pieces take shape. Crafted entirely from copper threads in our signature Seashells weave, Arista is not assembled—it is built. Each panel is handwoven individually, then shaped with exactitude and joined to form a sculptural whole. It’s the first time our studio has approached construction this way, transforming textile craftsmanship into architectural language.
The name Arista refers to the point where two planes meet—the edge where flat surfaces give way to volume. It is a word that speaks to precision, geometry, and the beauty of transition. In Arista, this concept comes to life: a celebration of innovation, an exploration of form, and a testament to the transformative power of craft.
With Arista, we continue our ongoing dialogue between heritage and modernity, between hand and material, between art and function. And as always, it begins with the weave.
