THE TREE OF LIFE
The Tree of Life was conceived from an idea that Tomás had in 2012, inspired by a trip to Mexico with his mother. During the trip, he discovered the significance of the Mexican Tree of Life in various world mythologies. The spark for the idea came when he learned that one of its most important symbols is the connection to our ancestors. It embodied his connection with his father, who had passed away to years prior, leading to the idea of honoring him with VERDI's Tree of Life. Years later, he described it not only as the studio's symbol but also as a bond to both his parents. As he explains, the tree represents the connection between natural fibers and metals in the studio's work and pillars: home, fashion and collectible design.

THE PROCESS
Fifteen people worked on the tree at various times over four months. Copper threads were meticulously handwoven around bundles of straw to create a tube-like wrapping around the tree's trunk. The tree stands at a height of approximately five and a half meters, with its foliage extending to a width of 4.5 meters.
