In Conversation with Architecture, The Arista and the Spirit of Bogotá

Our recent launch, The Arista, is a celebration of architecture and form.
Rooted in the spirit of Bogotá, this handmade metal handbag draws inspiration from the city’s bold architectural landscape. With sharp angles, clean silhouettes, and a sculptural rhythm, The Arista reinterprets urban design through the language of textile, becoming not only a statement shoulder bag, but a wearable tribute to Colombia’s design heritage.

As we continue our mission to elevate Colombian craftsmanship, The Arista invites a conversation between artisan and architect. Its name, Spanish for edge or ridge, echoes the geometric essence of modernist Colombian architecture, where structure becomes symbol.
Few figures embody this spirit more than Rogelio Salmona, whose work redefined the architectural identity of Bogotá. Through masterful use of red brick, water, and spatial dialogue, he created landmarks that live not only in the skyline, but in the city’s collective memory. Among his most celebrated creations are the iconic Torres del Parque, a trio of spiraling towers that dance with the surrounding landscape, the Biblioteca Virgilio Barco, where water, light, and greenery converge in perfect harmony, and the Casa de Huéspedes Ilustres in Cartagena, a modernist sanctuary of silence and shadow.

These works remind us that architecture, like weaving, is an act of precision and poetry. Both begin with a line. Both require structure. And both can carry emotion.
The Arista metal bag is our textile interpretation of these architectural gestures. A limited-edition handbag handmade in Colombia, it fuses our signature weaving technique, intertwining natural fibers and metal threads, with a bold new silhouette that feels both grounded and elevated.
This is more than an accessory. It’s a portable sculpture. A reflection of Bogotá’s layered beauty. A celebration of artisanal techniques, modern design, and the enduring edge of creation.
