THE VERDI RUG
We are the creators of a unique type of rug that combines natural fibers with select materials. At our atelier, we hand-weave these contemporary textiles remaining faithful to the Colombian artistic practices upon which our company was founded. Our rugs are entirely custom-made in the design, color, and size desired. Clients can choose from materials such as fique, alpaca wool, horse hair, acrylic, and stainless steel. Fique, our main fiber, is sustainably sourced from a plant native to the Andean region of Colombia.

OUR COLLECTIONS
This collection is the result of a captivating blend of a thirteen-century-old Japanese style crafted using Latin American fibers such as Colombian Fique, Chilean Copper and Peruvian Alpaca. VERDI's Tatami is a timeless collection that brings an eternal allure to the modern world, blending classic and contemporary elements to create a piece that will last forever.
Different from our other rug collections our Sui Collection rugs are not woven on manual looms, but instead they are completely hand-woven using a traditional weaving technique called “dos agujas” and vertical loom.

HANDCRAFTED BY ARTISANS
All of our pieces are carefully handcrafted at The VERDI atelier. We directly employ over 30 master artisans whose expertise is the result of generations of practice.
SUSTAINABLY SOURCED MATERIALS
All of our materials are sustainably sourced from different places in Colombia and Latin America. We support over 19 families of farmers who harvest fique fiber from the external leaves of the plant allowing for continued crop growth and no deforestation.

Our rugs are entirely custom made in weaves, color, shape, materials and size. We work with a variety of materials such as fique, alpaca wool, horsehair, fishing line, copper, stainless steel, and others.
