VERDI’s Custom Textiles for Shawn Henderson’s Pyron Collection

At VERDI, we believe that materials carry meaning—and that craftsmanship is a language of its own. When we were invited to custom-design lampshade textiles for the Pyrion Collection—conceived by Shawn Henderson in collaboration with Rupp Studio—our goal was to create something that would speak quietly, yet powerfully, within the collection’s sculptural landscape.

The Pyrion Collection explores the delicate interplay of form, texture, and restraint. Grounded in simplicity and material integrity, each piece in the collection speaks through its quiet presence and sculptural elegance.

Specially designed for the collection and handwoven at our Bogotá atelier, the textiles combine yaré, one of our signature natural fibers, with fine metal threads. The result is a soft contrast to the solid lines of the lamp bases—an expression of balance between organic materiality and architectural form.

This project represents a meeting point between thoughtful design and artisanal technique, where every detail is intentional, and every texture tells a story.
