ESTUDIO TEXTIL COLOMBIANO

VERDI es un estudio textil colombiano que celebra la tradición de crear artículos para el hogar, moda y piezas de arte únicas al entrelazar fibras naturales con materiales contemporáneos. Nuestra historia comenzó en las montañas colombianas en 1995 con Carlos Vera Dieppa, un pionero en el diseño textil latinoamericano quien, después de reunirse con un tejedor de sacos de café hábil pero bastante escéptico, desarrolló una técnica única de entrelazar hilos naturales locales y amplió un par de telares para tejer inusuales alfombras de fibra. Más tarde tendría la idea de añadir metal a estas alfombras.

Presenting our most iconic and powerful symbol as never before next to Amangiri in Utha. To exhibit VERDI'S TREE OF LIFE outside of VERDI's and Colombia's borders for the first time ever is our way of celebrating our studio's magic and our country's regal traditions.

"La Macorina" at Design Miami

Our first collectible design piece with more than 4,000 handmade knots in Amazonian fiber and a feathered exterior, is a pendulum-type sculpture by Creative Director Tomás Vera , that subtly transforms into a hammock just as Colombia’s enthralling peacock transforms when it opens its feathers.

"La Coral" at Frieze, Los Angeles

Inspired by Colombian fauna and flora and continuing to call upon family legacy, VERDI introduces its first of its upcoming collection of “Tatami Rugs” in the form of La Coral, a tribute to our country’s distinctive snake.
